On August 5th, the next event in our series of guided walks explores a different side of Horfield Common – its fascinating history. Most of us know the Common as a place for nature, recreation and dog walks. But beneath today's green space lies a fascinating history stretching back hundreds of years.

Join local historian Andy Buchan from the North Bristol History Society to uncover the hidden stories behind Horfield Common. Discover just how extensive the ancient parish of Horfield once was, how the area has evolved over the centuries, and why the Common looks the way it does today.

If you have ever wondered why Horfield Common looks the way it does today, this walk is the perfect opportunity to find out.

Date: Last Saturday of every month (except December)
Time: 10am - 12pm
Location: Meet by the green "Horfield Common" sign at the front of The Ardagh's main gates (by the car park), or catch us on the way around the Common!

Come join us for our Monthly Litter pick around the Common!
All equipment is provided, but please be sure to dress appropriately for the weather. 
Suitable for all ages and abilities - please stay for however long you're comfortable with and take breaks when you need to. It's a very relaxed event and a great opportunity to chat and meet your neighbours!
