 he Friends were excited to hold their first AGM on Saturday 16th May! While we didn't expect a sell-out crowd for what is essentially a business meeting, we had a lovely group of our dedicated members. It was a brilliant chance to reflect on our successes as FoHC and reaffirm what it is that makes the group so special - the care and friendships that have grown and continue to motivate us through the toughest projects! Brief minutes from the AGM are below, along with the presentation used. We had lots (in fact too much!) of delicious refreshments and then all had a great time doing the Horfield Common Quiz - give it a go yourself here! A big thank you to our AGM team (Claire, Ellie and Lucy) for organising the lovely event, Val and John for the delicious cake, The Ardagh for their continued support and then the hugest thank you of all to our members for all their incredible hard work throughout the past year. Minutes from AGM: 1.Chair report and overview of the year - Presented by Lucy Haslam, as per presentation. 2.Accounts - Presented by John Hooper (to be added to website for public viewing) 3.Constitution and governance - Constitution and policies available to view at the AGM, as well as archived at https://www.friendsofhorfieldcommon.co.uk/fohc-constitution.html and https://www.friendsofhorfieldcommon.co.uk/fohc-policies.html. No amendments or notes raised. - Official roles are currently: Lucy Haslam as Chair, Elizabeth Porter as Secretary and John Hooper as Treasurer. No one else wished to stand for these positions and all received a vote of confidence from all present. - Our structure of bi-monthly (approx) meetings, with sub-groups to complete projects, was stated. No amendments or notes raised. 4.Upcoming meetings and events - Please see presentation for full list. Party in the Park and Cut and collect amended on presentation afterwards. 5.Questions regarding AGM business - No questions 6.Social! Including quiz and refreshments  Hard at work on the quiz!
